2008 Unoaked Chardonnay
TASTING NOTES
Due to a rainy early spring 2008, the yield on the chardonnay was low, allowing for concentrated fruit flavors. The nose of this 100% stainless steel fermented Chardonnay reveals the true character of the variety with aromas of ripe Asian pear, hazelnuts, lime, green apple and banana. On the palate it shows a refined crisp acidity with layers of juicy pear flavors. The no-oak regimen gives to the palate the full fruitiness and minerality this vineyard is about. The finish is elegant and racy with a stony flintiness, bright and food friendly. It will be at its best served around 58F.
